When Brad moved to the northwest he was asked to record wind chimes for a symphony’s album of Northwest composers. He didn’t complain about not playing drums or an instrument that was more notable, no, he took in 3 mark trees, 2 sets of bamboo chimes, 3 sets of glass wind chimes and chimes with a G flat triad and asked, “which ones would you like?”

Since that time Brad has been known for his versatility, knowledge, and musicality. Brad wears many hats in music from teaching to performing live with various groups and styles, and fits them all.

Brad’s understanding of ‘time’, groove,  and knowing what to add to the music makes him able to fit the part, no matter what percussion instrument or style.

Brad has been able do the job from Symphonies, to Rock, Afro-Cuban to Pop, to musical theater, with groups such as:

  • Soul’d Out
  • Type A
  • Shakeh
  • Robin Eye
  • Seven Seven
  • The Sidewinders

Brad is highly sought after for musical theater shows all around the Northwest:

  • Seattle Children’s Theater
  • Arts West
  • Village Theater
  • Seattle Music Theater

He is the percussion section leader for the Westminster Chapels’ Orchestra, and plays regularly with their rhythm section, he also founded the Chokora Quartet (percussion quartet and duo). He also works for the Pacific Northwest Ballet.

He’s recorded many projects with Symphonies, jazz groups, Chokora and many singer/songwriters such as: Shakeh, Susan Olmos, and Seven Seven.

Brad can put the right groove into your project. When he is not teaching or performing, Brad is an active composer/arranger, and can be found relaxing at the piano.
